Ellen Harkins

In one of my first assignments as a school newspaper photographer I had to take some informal portraits of Ellen, whom I knew a little from having a couple of classes with her. It was my first experience of trying to get a relative stranger to relax in front of my camera. She had just won some sort of school award and was going to be featured in the next issue. The whole thing was made easier by the fact that she was awfully good looking.
